Understanding common firearm malfunctions and why these situations occur is an important aspect of gun ownership. Operation can be quickly restored if the shooter recognizes the type of malfunction that has occurred and takes the correct immediate action to restore the gun to proper operation. In this class we’ll highlight four of the most common handgun malfunctions, why they happen and how to deal with them.

Class Name: Firearm Malfunctions

Cost: $40

Length: 2 Hours (½ hour Classroom/ 1 ½ hour Range)

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisites:

A3 Handgun/Carbine fundamentals or equivalent course in handling a handgun/carbine.

Required Gear

-Range appropriate attire
-Eye and ear protection
-At least 3 magazines
-Snap caps (optional but highly recommended)

Handgun:
-Modern semi-automatic handgun
-Inside the waistband or outside the waistband holster

Rifle/Carbine:
-Rifle/Carbine
-Sling

Required Ammo

100 rounds of ammunition

Cancellation Policy

Class registrations can be transferred to another date/event given 48 hours’ notice. This does not apply to Concealed Pistol License classes, which require 72 hours’ notice.

Cancellations inside the 48 or 72 hour time frame will be subject to a 25% penalty for refund. This penalty can be waived if rescheduling.

Refunds for balance of class/event fees, if no transfer is possible, are issued in the form of store gift cards only.

Participants who do not show to the event without any prior notice will forfeit their total registration fees.
